History

Hatua was formed in 2010 by three friends who recognised the lack of ICT-focussed social enterprises in the North-west. The idea for Hatua arose both from this perceived need and the notion of putting-back into our local community.

We collectively have a strong interest in ICT and development issues backed up by many years experience, both in working with charities and other development organisations, and in developing bespoke ICT solutions. We feel that this fusion of technical knowledge and understanding of the complexities involved in working this field provide a unique starting-point to providing a range of competitive and professional services

We are also proudly a Lancaster-based company and are keen to build partnerships with other groups working to develop the region. We believe that, through this cooperative approach, we can strengthen the local community in this time of economic austerity and provide a tangible benefit to the wider society.
